Earlier this month, APR Energy APR) co- sponsored a cultural visit to The Huacas del Sol and Luna Archeological Project and site museum for students from the the Miguel Grau and Ingenieri schools located in Trujillo, Peru. During the visit, approximately 100 students from the two secondary schools took a guided educational tour of the ancient Peruvian temple ruins which date back to 450 CE.
The Huacas del Sol and Luna Archeological Project and site museum is located in the Moche district, within the province of Trujillo, Peru. The visit was also sponsored by La Industria, a major newspaper in Peru.
APR Energy sponsored the cultural visit as part of its Community Development Program, which aims to give back to communities in need focusing on the fields of education, technology and health. APR hosts its Community Development Program within the communities where its temporary power plants are located all over the world.
APR Energy’s 60MW Trujillo, Peru power plant has been operational since early 2009, providing a supplemental power source to the national utility company in Peru.
