Westport, CT (PRWEB) September 10, 2010
Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has received a grant of $5,000 from Newman's Own Foundation. The grant will support the expansion of a new, comprehensive website and free e-newsletter for parents of children with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders (ADHD).
The Smart Kids website, created for parents, by parents, supports families with a child struggling with a learning disability or attention disorder. The website promotes parent empowerment and advocacy via its wide-ranging topics by experts. Stories by parents offer hands-on tips for what works, as well as providing guidance to others who are critical in the child's life.
"We are thrilled to receive the support of Newman's Own Foundation," noted Jane Ross, Executive Director for Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities, Inc. "We are particularly pleased to have the Foundation's help in promoting the message that these children have tremendous potential, and that paying attention to what they do well - in school, at home and in the wider community -- is critical for their success."
