In keeping with their commitment to their community, east Coast Beer Co. owners, Brian Ciriaco and John Merklin, will sponsor and participate in the first-ever Beer on the Pier at the Belmar Marina in Point Pleasant, NJ on Saturday, September 25th , 2010. From 2:00pm to 6:00pm guests can sample a wide variety of craft beer flavors and styles from pilsners to porters, including East Coast Beer Co.’s brew, Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner.
Tickets for the event are $40 in advance and can be ordered online at http://www.beerheads.com. Space is limited and will not be oversold.
“We aspire to be a pillar, as well as stimulate our local economy,” said Brian Ciriaco, co-founder of East Coast Beer Co.
“Our long- and short-term goals are community-minded, so when we were asked to take part in this event at the Belmar Marina, which looks to extend the tourist season at the Shore, we couldn’t pass it up,” said John Merklin.
Organizer Chris DePeppe of total Bru Marketing has high hopes for the inaugural event.
“The shore is still a slow-developing market in what is otherwise a really fast-growing craft beer boom that is happening all over the country,” said Chris DePeppe. “But I think there are plenty of craft been enthusiasts just waiting to be uncovered in towns up and down the coast, who I hope will come out to enjoy craft beer and what we hope to be a beautiful Indian Summer afternoon on the pier.”
Beach Haus®, is a Classic American Pilsner, reminiscent of the old German-American style of brewing, which results in a full-flavored craft beer. A pre-prohibition style Pilsner, using all-American ingredients, including Mt. Hood Hops, the beer is brewed to perfection reflecting a unique taste and style of the Jersey Shore. Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner will have their own booth, where attendees can sample their brew, purchase merchandise and even enter to win cool prizes.
Beer on the Pier will afford its guests the opportunity to not only taste more than 25 different craft beers, but also participate in home brewing demonstrations, beer-centric gifts and crafts, live music and good food from various Belmar restaurants. Everyone attending will also receive a keepsake tasting glass, a free photo booth visit, and a chance to win great prizes from local businesses and participating breweries.
