Phoenix sign shop supports local non-profit organizations

Arcadia Sign-A-Rama, a Phoenix company specializing in manufacturing custom signage for Valley businesses, has again demonstrated their commitment to the local community.

Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) holds a variety of fundraising golf tournaments throughout the year, and Arcadia Sign-A-Rama has again helped them to further the mission of CCI by providing heavily discounted signage so they can continue to provide highly trained assistance dogs to children and adults with disabilities for free. "Arcadia Sign-A-Rama has always, and continues to produce the highest quality signage, and treats us as if we were their most important client," said Pat Lawson, Golf Tournament Director. "Having dealt with so many vendors, it is refreshing to find such a great attitude and great service."

Derek Herndon, Owner of Arcadia Sign-A-Rama believes in spending his money locally, and that includes supporting non-profits with whom he has an affinity. If he can help local groups offset their operating expenses by providing them with signage for events and other functions, more of their money can be spent in the community with the people who need it most.

"We have been using Arcadia Sign-A-Rama for numerous projects the last few years and we are always impressed with the quality of their work, their service and their competitive pricing," said Becky Hornack, Marketing & Public Relations Specialist at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. "As important, they believe in giving back to the community and sponsor several of our events during the year. Their donations allow us to offer a valuable marketing benefit for all our sponsors and direct more of the event proceeds directly to our youth development programs."

Herndon encourages his employees to follow his lead – identify with local non-profits and contribute monthly, whether it is money or time. "Resources are spread thin among local groups, and during a tough economy it's even more important for us to give back when and where we can," said Herndon. "I'm proud to be an Arizonan and even more proud to be part of the solution to keep our community thriving."
