Paradigm Learning today unveiled its latest change management client story, How Kraft Foods Is Cooking Up a Change Management Culture.
The story describes how Kraft Foods needed its information systems (IS) employees and managers to have an understanding of the impact of organizational change — and to embrace better ways of managing it. As if that weren’t enough, it needed to involve employees around the world. Kraft found a viable solution to educating its employees around organizational change with Right Turns: Change in Action® and used a unique classroom/online blended learning solution created exclusively by Paradigm Learning.
The client story reveals that Kraft’s IS team is deployed throughout the world, working with many other Kraft Foods business units and outside clients in numerous ways. As Kraft rolls out its projects, IS employees must take organizational change into account. Plus, no matter what the situation — whether working with food production, research and development, delivery, or some other group — the systems they create must add measurable value to the enterprise.
“It was imperative to make sure the employees understood what was happening at Kraft Foods, why it was happening and what they had to do to successfully facilitate the necessary changes,” says Debra Pekin, change management specialist at Kraft Foods. “If we don’t do this, we are not leveraging the full potential of our organization.”
Kraft Foods turned to corporate-training leader Paradigm Learning to utilize one of its change management discovery learning programs, Right Turns: Change in Action. Before choosing to implement Right Turns, Kraft also faced a unique challenge. With operations in 160 countries, the logistics of bringing in-person training sessions to remote areas of Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa were not practical.
Paradigm Learning responded by creating an online/virtual version of Right Turns, which was originally designed as a classroom-based program. “The subject matter translated easily into the ‘virtual’ classroom environment, and an e-learning version was produced quickly,” indicates Robb Gomez, president of Paradigm Learning. “Discovery learning experiences promote learners taking responsibility for their own learning. Working with Kraft, we were able to create the virtual version of Right Turn’s and stay true to our learning methodology that continues to be hugely successful in the training industry”
