PROLIN, an innovator in SaaS-based IT Service Management (ITSM) in the cloud, today announced that Greg Stephens, Founder and President of nworks, entrepreneur, and angel investor, joined PROLIN on September 1 to lead operations at PROLIN as Chief Operating Officer. PROLIN also announced that Greg is an early investor in the firm. Greg joins PROLIN as it enters an accelerated phase of product development and international growth in building its ITSM as a Service solutions.
Greg brings to PROLIN his deep engineering and solutions’ architecture background, including many years at Hewlett-Packard, as well as his entrepreneurial and business-building experience from founding and growing industry-leading nworks, which was acquired by Veeam Software in June 2008. nworks was an innovative creator of enterprise management solutions that bridge the gap between the VMware virtual infrastructure and enterprise management tools from Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft. His combination of engineering development and entrepreneurial business expansion give Greg the perfect background for creating and managing PROLIN’s global operations.
“The new PROLIN is providing an essential bridge for HP Service Desk customers to easily transition from their legacy IT Service Management enterprise model to ITSM as a Service,” said Greg Stephens, PROLIN Chief Operating Officer. “IT Service Management has been left behind, technologically, and is still dominated by old, heavy, enterprise-based approaches. I applaud PROLIN’s return to the marketplace as an independent company that blends its deep heritage in ITIL-based ITSM with the very latest approaches and technologies to create a new approach to ITSM in public or private clouds. I am excited to be part of this far-sighted team.”
“Greg Stephens is an important addition to the PROLIN team,” said Jerome H. Mol, founder and CEO of PROLIN. “Greg has the industry relationships, technical knowledge, and business development know-how to help us move forward at an accelerated pace. We are delighted to add Greg to PROLIN’s executive team.”
PROLIN, the renowned pioneer in ITIL-based ITSM in the ‘80s and ‘90s, has reunited to revitalize IT Service Management with ITSM as a Service. PROLIN’s team of experienced engineering and business professionals is focused on bringing leading-edge technology, and fun, back to IT service management. PROLIN is privately held and has headquarters in San Mateo, CA, USA; development teams in Roseville, CA, USA, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands; and Sales & Support Offices in San Mateo and Amsterdam.
