A rapidly growing number of young Americans are obese, prone to more food intolerances and diseases affecting the overall learning and nutritive environment of the majority of learning institutions around the country. As a Registered Dietitian and mother of two young children, Brandi Thompson RD, LD/N founded ABCD Eat Right with a mission to educate the community, especially educators and parents, about what it means to live a healthy lifestyle not only for ourselves but also for our children.
ABCD Eat Right has targeted preschools, daycares, and private schools to distribute her message on eating healthy, starting a school garden, and incorporating physical activity. Her healthy habits campaign launched in 2010 has received positive feedback from the South Florida community.
