New York, NY (PRWEB) September 26, 2010
Personal Confidantency is announcing Grieftaking breakfast series to start in October. The series will facilitate conversations on topics related to negative experiences – a new intellectually stimulating and fun approach to counterbalance the “epidemic” of positive thinking in our culture.
Grieftaking breakfasts will be open by invitation only to a limited number of attendees.
The idea behind a Grieftaking breakfast is to help counterbalance the societal pressure for positive thinking and continuous “counting blessings”, which at times becomes overbearing. Grieftaking breakfast will provide a venue to have a conversation about demoralizing, annoying and other negative experiences and thoughts in an engaging, intellectually stimulating yet accepting environment. As a result, participants might expect to develop better ability to co-exist with the negativity (aka “real world”) - and that is in addition to having fun!
Series will consist of six breakfasts per year. Each breakfast will feature a “host listener” and a distinguished “guest conversationalist”. The guest conversationalist will bring his or her perspective on things negative from the viewpoint of art, culture, religion or philosophy.
The first breakfast is scheduled to take place at the end of October in New York and will feature nationally recognized artist , fellow of The American Artists Professional League Liron Sissman as a guest conversationalist and Irina Avtsin, Personal Confidantency founder and Confidante as a host listener.
