Diversity In Action Award Recognizes Business and Community Leaders in Southern Nevada

Reggie Burton, founder of public relations consulting firm RB Communications and President-elect of the Southern Nevada Public Television Board of Directors (Vegas PBS), is the recipient of a 2010 In Business Las Vegas “Diversity In Action” award for contributions in support of diversity in the Southern Nevada community.

In Business Las Vegas (IBLV), a business news magazine, annually honors business and community leaders for contributions in support of diversity in the Southern Nevada Community. Honorees were identified based on their commitment to diversity, which includes nationality, physical/mental disability, sexual orientation and age or gender.

At a reception on Thursday, September 23 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, IBLV presented Burton with a plaque for his efforts to promote diversity in business, as well as community involvement working with Vegas PBS, Southern Nevada’s public television station.

During the reception, he was recognized along with a dozen notable business and community leaders.

Burton, who was nominated to the SNPT Board in 2006, has helped Vegas PBS with its mission of community involvement and partnership development with diverse organizations.

Led by Burton, a public relations executive with over 15 years of experience, RB Communications specializes in strategic communications, public and community relations as well as corporate social responsibility. Prior to forming his consulting business, Burton was previously a communications executive with the NFL’s San Diego Chargers, and the gaming industry’s Mandalay Resort Group and MGM MIRAGE.
