Pathways to Preparedness, LLC celebrates its Grand Opening on Oct 2 in Littleton, CO. The event will be filled with free classes on butter making, food dehydrating, firearms safety, emergency preparedness, and more. The public is welcome to attend and encouraged to stop by to get a free emergency preparedness checklist and wallet card.

Pathways to Preparedness, LLC, a Littleton-based modern pioneer training company, is pleased to announce their Grand Opening celebration on October 2, 2010. The Grand Opening celebration is planned for the entire day, with hands-on classes occurring throughout the event.

“We are excited about our company,” said Robert Hixson, co-founder of Pathways to Preparedness. “We believe that this business is critical to the future of our community. Being prepared and being confident will save your life and the lives of your family. The recent wildfires in Boulder and Loveland illustrate the need for personal and family preparedness in an all too real way. We offer training programs in six major categories – gardening, food preservation, survival skills, textile skills, firearms use and maintenance, and homesteading skills. ”

“This Grand Opening is our opportunity to share what we do with the community,” said Lisa Akers, co-founder. “So much of what we teach can’t be explained in a book or website. It’s hands-on and experiential. We invite everyone to join us and learn a skill that you can take home with you. The classes are affordable and guaranteed. If you don’t feel confident when you leave, you are welcome to take the class again, on us.”

The Grand Opening will be held from 10 AM to 5PM at the Pathways to Preparedness office at 2 W Dry Creek Cir, Suite 100 in Littleton. The office is at the corner of Broadway and Dry Creek. The free classes scheduled for the day include:
