“Relationship training has become a critical piece of continuing education for organizations and corporations, as well as service professionals. I cannot remember another time when ‘relationship’ has gotten so much attention all across business and life. It is why there is ‘social’ in social media. From CEOs and human resource professionals to those in behavior health and small business, healthy connections in relationship are the key,” says Lou Dozier, co-founder and vice-president of Source Point Training, a coach training company that offers relationship-coaching training as part of their curriculum.

“Relationship training is an educational extension for professional coaches, as well as for therapists, counselors, clergy, caregivers and others who are involved in being with people. Those who are competent in coaching relationships will be more effective in business, as well as all other areas of their life,” continues Dozier. “For example, our relationship training teaches, what is referred to as, the three-legged stool which is commitment, trust and communication; used to create balanced relationships with self and others. It’s very, very powerful.”

Relationship education has its own Wikipedia page and serves hundred of results in a simple online organic search. “Even within the Stanford University Continuing Studies program, their relationship-focused class is one of the few courses with registrations already capped, and only available through a waiting list,” adds Dozier. “Learning to be in, and coach, powerful relationships makes a dramatic difference in our daily lives.”
