Delegates at a Niagara convention find more than world-class meeting venues, access to attractions and one of the world’s greatest wonders. Niagara Falls has transformed itself into a dining destination, much of which is tailored to groups. From locally produced foods to international fare, Niagara Falls dining is marked by an attractive variety of options that are easily accessible.

Many groups will take advantage of the April 2011 opening of the New Niagara Convention and Civic Centre, where Niagara convention delegates will be served with the best the region has to offer. The NCCC has partnered with cutting edge food service hospitality partner Centerplate to ensure an unconventional dining experience and the Centre will offer field-to-table menus, designed by its new endorsing celebrity Chef Anna Olson, Food Network Canada TV personality and author.

Near the Niagara Convention Centre, there are abundant opportunities for Niagara convention groups to take advantage of the dining scene. Restaurants such as CopaCabana, Ponte Vecchio and Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville are well equipped for group experiences. CopaCabana and Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse offer an authentic Brazilian Churrascaria steakhouse experience where savory cuts of meat are skewered tableside—and on weekends at CopaCabana Brazilian dancers entertain.

For casual fun, the first Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville in Canada brought a tropical dining oasis to Niagara Falls this year. Groups enjoy volcano nachos and cheeseburgers in paradise with live music, boat drinks and more. A group visit to Fallsview Casino Resort offers up more than slots with Ponte Vecchio, featuring fine Italian dining and an award-winning wine list, and 17 Noir, a favourite among seafood and steakhouse experiences at Niagara Falls restaurants.

Whether convention delegates are teambuilding or looking for an opportunity to socialize over dinner, Niagara Falls restaurants have a menu of experiences that are delectable, and perhaps more importantly, memorable.
