Celebrate with a Free Live Acoustic Performance by The Dirty Heads

One of the best new bands of 2010

I moved back to my hometown of Houston, and on a recent trip to Disneyland with my kids, we went to Wahoo’s; they, along with my wife, loved it!

Wahoo’s Fish Taco, launches its first store in the Houston area as a part of its franchise expansion across the U.S. Michael Duplantis, who was a former Special Forces Marine and currently an owner of several other restaurants, is the franchisee/owner.

When Michael was asked, “why Wahoo’s?” he stated, “About 15 years ago I had moved to California and was all alone at the time and just happened across Wahoo’s and discovered how great the food was and they made me feel like part of the family! Since then, I moved back to my hometown of Houston, and on a recent trip to Disneyland with my kids, we went to Wahoo’s; they, along with my wife, loved it! At that time, I learned they were expanding and had recently expanded to Austin, where it has become a huge hit. So based on all of that, it was a natural for me to open Wahoo’s and I have committed to open 10 more Wahoo’s in Houston.”

In celebration of the opening and its expansion across the U.S., on Sunday, September 19th between 5 and 9pm, Wahoo’s will host a free concert by The Dirty Heads (picked “One of the best new bands of 2010” by Rolling Stone Magazine) with free Monster drinks and tons of prizes.

Wahoo’s Fish Taco is located at 19075 1-45 South, Suite 752 in Shenandoah, Texas at the Portofino Center.
