"Music in the Dark of Night" a custom wall quilt designed and pieced by Jeannie M. Bush, owner of Quilting From My Heart, has been chosen to be included in the In Shades of Gray Art Show at the Pump House Regional Art Center in La Crosse, WI.

Quilting evokes strong emotion within me. I strive to create pieces that are not only beautiful, but functional. I see the quilt titles and story labels as a bridge from the recipient to future generations.

"Music in the Dark of Night" is a black and white star design with rich textures of fabrics. Bush states, "The goal of this art show is to take the color element out of the art works, making us look at the design instead of color. It was a challenge for me because I am drawn to bold colors."

The In Shades of Gray jurored art show drew entries from three countries, 17 states, with more that 50 entries from Wisconsin.

Juror for the Shades of Gray Art show was Roger Grant, Professor Emeritus of the Art Department of the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse

The art show will run November 4 to December 23, 2010 at
The Pump House Regional Art Center.
