Through self-discipline and faith in herself Falada learns about the joy of giving to others. And this is what the compelling protagonist searches for in this beautiful story. But will she really find what she’s looking for? Readers will soon find out as they immerse into the vibrantly colored and creatively illustrated picture book, Falada, by Nikki Lovel.
Falada’s old life has crumbled, just as the castle she once lived in crushes to the ground. But from these fallen pieces emerges a young princess. She now feels a need to serve others and complete her mission. Along the way, readers will see how her father’s words would strengthen her, how her mother’s warning would aid her, and how her determination would help her. But when she meets Eros, the son of Aphrodite, her emotions and sentiments are tested. As Eros persists on interrupting her with his ideas of love and romance, Falada also keeps on standing her ground. Whether she’ll continue on her mission to serve others or welcome Eros’ passionate declaration of love is yet to be unraveled in this story of love, family, compassion, and determination.
This book will be featured at the 2010 Frankfurt International Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany, scheduled for October 6-10, 2010. For more information on Falada, log on to Xlibris.com.
About the Author
Nikki Lovel was born in San Jose, California. She was one of three children. At an early age, she began to be interested and studied religious doctrines and their relations between God, mankind, and the universe. Her studies continued, and she earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Bible, Theology, and Christian Leadership from San Jose Christian College. The inspiration for Falada came to her in a dream when she was enrolled in a Greek mythology class at West Valley College in Saratoga, California. One of her goals has been to activate that sacred inborn interest that all children have in the divine force that controls nature and the universe. Once activated, they can enlighten and control their own potential, which is in them. The author now lives in Bakersfield, California.
