Utrecht (PRWEB) September 16, 2010
Building on its position as an MPEG-4 specialist, M4Scene, today announced an enhancement to its flagship ISO based file analyzing and verification product SceneScope – the addition of full analysis and verification of Microsoft Protected Interoperable File Format (PIFF 1.1).
For customers of SceneScope, support of PIFF means that files validating correctly will be played and handled flawlessly with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Smooth Streaming solutions. It also allows them to analyze, in different levels of detail, if files are not conforming and in need of repair. Always giving clear pointers to the relevant sections in the PIFF and ISO standards.
“This new enhancement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to invest, innovate and lead in ISO based file verification and analysis products,” says director Mathijn Elhorst of M4Scene. “We will continue to anticipate the important technology developments and work together with our customers to provide state of the art and dependable products.”
If you visit the IBC 2010 this year in Amsterdam, please come see SceneScope in action presented by Omnistream (hall 4, booth B79c) or by Microsoft Corp. (Topaz Lounge).
“SceneScope is a powerful MPEG-4 analysis tool that provides us the insight and validation into the PIFF file format required during development of the Smooth Streaming Format SDK,” said John Deutscher, principal program manager for IIS Media Services, Microsoft. “The ability to quickly validate file conformance to the ISO standards, the PIFF specification, and identify errors in the elementary streams has made SceneScope a key tool in our development, testing and customer support.”
This new release of SceneScope, version 1.6, is free of charge for customers covered with our SceneCare support contract. It’s available for immediate download from the company’s website http://www.m4scene.com. For non-customers, evaluation licenses are available and can be requested after download.
