VistaDB is an embedded SQL database that offers significant deployment advantages over Microsoft SQL Compact Edition, Microsoft SQL Server Express, Microsoft Access and other lightweight database alternatives. For example, it is the only .NET embedded database that allows Xcopy deployment of a single DLL for both 32 and 64 bit runtime support.
All rights to software and ongoing business operations have been acquired by eSymmetrix, developer of Gibraltar Software, a suite of products for application monitoring and customer support.
VistaDB is used by thousands of developers worldwide and has been licensed by such prominent companies as Red Box, FedEx, US District Courts, Telligent, Kodak, and Gibraltar Software. There are over 250,000 runtimes deployed to end users around the world.

They owned and significantly enhanced the product since acquiring it from Vista Software in 2007. The previous owner had been working on the VistaDB software and brand since 1997.
