Beyond Media Global announced today that it has become an official Agency of Baidu, Inc., the leading Search Engine in China. Through this partnership, BMG’s extensive client base will get access to preferred rates and exclusive Baidu Products in addition to its paid listing business.
Baidu is the dominant search engine in the world’s largest Internet market of an estimated 420 million users, receiving more than 75 percent of the China’s search queries. Baidu's share of revenue in China's search-advertising market grew six percentage points in the second quarter to 70%, according to Beijing-based research firm Analysys International. Moreover, Baidu has 80% of the search dollars among large advertisers. With more than two-thirds of China's population not yet Internet users, there is room for tremendous growth. The Chinese Internet market offers a huge potential for advertisers as an exponentially growing number of businesses and consumers are engaging in e-commerce.
