The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), has named J. Michael “Mike” Joyce, Jr., CIA, CPA, CLU, FLMI, FAHM to its 2010-2011 Board of Commissioners as its Public Member. His term began August 26, 2010, and will run through June 2013.
Joyce has served as the Chief Auditor and Compliance Officer for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) since June 1999. In this role, he directs the internal audit, national anti-fraud and compliance staff functions for the Association. Additionally, he is responsible for development of BCBSA sponsored compliance, anti-fraud and internal audit related training programs; chairs the BCBSA Internal Audit QAR Oversight Committee; and provides leadership for the BCBSA licensee compliance support function.
Joyce has been a member of the Board of Governors for the Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) since 1995, and served as the Chapter’s President from 2001 to 2002. He is the current chair of the IIA's Professional Seminars Committee, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and meetings. Joyce is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Life Underwriter, Fellow - Academy for Healthcare Management, and Fellow - Life Management Institute, and has also received the IIA's Accreditation in Internal Quality Assessment / Validation.

Joyce previously served on CCMC’s Audit Committee. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois Certified Public Accountant Society, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association. Joyce received his BS in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA.
The Commission for Case Manager Certification established the standard for case management credentialing.
