Whether you are looking to reach the wired techie, the paradoxical preppy, the mellow alternative or the cutting-edge independent, “Chasing Youth Culture and Getting it Right: How Your Business Can Profit by Tapping Today's Most Powerful Trendsetters and Tastemakers” by Tina Wells, will be your ultimate field guide.

“Chasing Youth Culture and Getting it Right” will examine each tribe’s key traits; their preferences and dislikes; and predictions on how they'll behave as they begin to move into adulthood. The book will feature case studies of companies, brands and organizations who reached out to the youth market. Other concepts include the Facebook Effect, Tweenabes and Warholism.

The book, published by Wiley, is set to release in April 2011. Kate Lee, an agent at International Creative Management, negotiated the deal.

“‘Chasing Youth Culture and Getting it Right’ will provide parents, educators, students and industry executives with a first-hand report on today's youth culture,” says Dan Ambrosio, editor at Wiley. “Tina has dedicated her career to understanding youth culture and is an expert in the field.”

Wells, 30, is the founder and CEO of Buzz Marketing Group. Her agency specializes in youth needs, desires and trends. Wells has grown a network of approximately 10,000 buzzSpotters® (teen consultants) and has acquired clients such as: American Eagle, Sony BMG and Maidenform.
