New Partnership to bring Next Generation Firewall to North American Resellers

COMPUTERLINKS, a global value-add distributor, has announced their North American partnership with Palo Alto Networks™, the network security company. With this partnership, COMPUTERLINKS is offering North American resellers training, back-line support, evaluation demo gear, demand generation programs, and global account fulfillment to authorized resellers, including partners within Palo Alto Networks’ NextWave program. With the onset of this new partnership, resellers will experience these benefits throughout the channel and in turn increase revenue.

Palo Alto Networks offers enterprises a new alternative to traditional “port blocking” firewalls that classify traffic based only on ports and protocols. Its award-winning, next-generation firewalls provide network administrators with unprecedented visibility and granular control over applications and content – by user, not just IP address – to stop threats and prevent data leakage. Furthermore, Palo Alto Networks customers can create work environments that embrace the use of approved enterprise 2.0 applications.

Russell Zientek, CEO of COMPUTERLINKS North America said, “The inclusion of the Palo Alto Networks next generation firewalls to COMPUTERLINKS’ portfolio, has given us the opportunity to extend a superior and emerging product to our resellers. We are confident that the high level of support we will offer coupled with such a superior solution from Palo Alto Networks will enable our resellers to grow their business substantially.”

Palo Alto Networks and COMPUTERLINKS will be focusing heavily on identifying key segments of resellers that have previously adhered to a standard firewall concept. With the Palo Alto Networks solution available, the functionalities will prove to be more manageable and customizable; this will meet both specific network needs and allow resellers the control they desire in network policy. Through a fully trained internal and external team, resellers can be confident in the service and knowledge that they will receive as they work with COMPUTERLINKS in training, marketing, and ordering processes.

“We are very excited to join forces with such a highly-respected, value-add distributor,” said Larry Link, vice president of worldwide sales at Palo Alto Networks. “COMPUTERLINKS will bolster our efforts to educate partners about Palo Alto Networks and how they can capitalize on a growing demand for next-generation firewalls.”
