The Prince George’s Running Club is now accepting new members for the 2011 membership year!
Join the experienced runners of the Prince George’s Running Club to help set and reach specific running goals. The running club has various training programs for runners of all levels, from beginners to marathoners.
Membership into the Prince George’s Running Club, or PGRC, comes with benefits. Club members get reduced entry fees to some area races, access to training programs and social events, plus discounts at many area running stores. Annual membership is $20 for individuals, $25 for families and $10 for students.
Come “run the county” with the club, based in Greenbelt, Md., which has weekly drop-in runs in many areas of Prince George’s County, including Greenbelt, College Park, Bowie and Oxon Hill.
PGRC also is always seeking volunteers to help with races – timing, registration, course marshals, and more; marketing; blogging; training; and many other ways to help out the group! Students, volunteering with PGRC is an easy way to get volunteer hours done and have fun doing so
The Prince George’s Running Club, a non-profit organization, was established in 1984 by a group of Maryland runners seeking camaraderie on long weekly runs. PGRC just proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary and recently adopted the motto “We Run the County!”
