If you’ve ever wondered what happens to former reality TV stars, Robert Hesse is proof there is a good life after two seasons on Hell’s Kitchen. On Friday, September 24, 2010, Robert will personally prepare a three-course dinner for guests who reserve a special dinner at his restaurant, Catamaran’s in Solomons Island, Maryland. A part of the proceeds will benefit The Wounded Warriors Project and Heroes Night out.
Robert stated “Sometimes it feels like there’s not a lot we can do for our troops, so I thought ‘Is there anything I can do for the men and women who served our country and need help when they return?’, The answer was ‘Yes!’ I can cook a gourmet meal so I can help raise money for the men and women who served our country…the ones that have come back injured in some way.”
The Wounded Warriors’ Project does three things:
- To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women,
- To help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and
- To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
Dinners range from $59 for one person to $1,000 for six. Raffle tickets will also be available for sale with a trip for two to the famous Halloween Party at the Playboy Mansion, complete with airfare from BWI, and accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
On behalf of the Wounded Warrior Project, Robert also recommends that everyone try the new Text2Give campaign. Text ”WWP" TO 90999 to donate $5! This method is fast, easy, and great for everyone.
Catamaran’s Restaurant is located at 14770 Solomon Island Road, Solomons Island, MD 20668
