Los Angeles, CA (Vocus) September 15, 2010
For the third consecutive year, the California Department of Motor Vehicles has awarded its Southern Region Hazardous Materials Consulting contract to Los Angeles-based firm Andersen Environmental.
The comprehensive contract calls for the provision of hazardous materials testing (including asbestos, lead, and mold) to more than 90 DMV facilities across southern California. In addition, Andersen Environmental will draw up technical specifications for any necessary abatement work in the facilities and oversee abatement efforts. The current agreement represents the third consulting contract between the two entities since 2007.
The DMV consulting contract helps illustrate Andersen Environmental’s strong ongoing commitment to quality, integrity, and customer service. Andersen Environmental has kept pace with the fast-growing environmental industry over the past several years to provide clients turnkey solutions for meeting stringent regulatory requirements. A broad client base—including homeowners, real estate professionals, government agencies, insurance companies, architects, hospitals, educational facilities, and demolition contractors—relies on Andersen Environmental for addressing a full range of environmental concerns.
The consulting services Andersen Environmental offers include environmental due diligence, which involves Phase I site assessment; subsurface sampling; and geophysical, soil gas, and vapor intrusion studies. Their environmental compliance services include remediation planning and monitoring, as well as methods to detect and deal with greenhouse gases, hazardous materials, and storm water pollution. Other consultation addresses environmental health and safety, engineering due diligence, and catastrophe response. Andersen Environmental’s highly-credentialed staff, drawn from a variety of industries, is the company’s key to responsiveness and efficiency.
While Andersen Environmental has been headquartered in Los Angeles since 2001, their satellite offices are spread across the United States and their full range of services are available nationwide.
As expressed by Andersen Environmental Vice President Dan Ironi, “Andersen Environmental is pleased to renew its contract with the DMV for a third year and is enthusiastic to continue its service in modernizing DMV facilities and providing an environment free of hazardous elements.” The California DMV contract demonstrates the client trust and confidence this firm has built in California and around the country.
