Cristina Fontanelli has become a well-known personality through her recordings, her appearances on radio, in concert, nightclubs, opera, and her acting debut on network television. She recently wowed the crowds as the featured entertainer for the opening day ceremonies of the prestigious 35th Annual Hamptons Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, NY with the National Anthem and God Bless America.
Fontanelli performed an acclaimed annual concert at New York's premier nightclub Feinstein’s at Loews Regency. Upcoming she will headline Jimmy Kimmel’s “Feast of San Gennaro” in Hollywood CA on September 25/26. She will sing at Rayburn Hall in Washington D.C. in honor of fashion icon Giorgio Gucci’s congressional testimony on September 22.
And on September 29 Ms. Fontanelli will appear at a gala black-tie dinner for the launch of Giorgio Gucci’s private label cognac at the Taj Pierre Hotel in New York City. Her 7th annual holiday concert “Christmas In Italy” – featuring the Monfort Academy Choir – will be performed at New York’s Merkin Concert Hall near Lincoln Center on November 28 at 3 p.m. Fontanelli’s CD “Great Italian Favorites” is currently available. On January 20, 2005 Cristina Fontanelli opened the ceremonies at the Stars and Stripes Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C. for an audience of over 6,000 VIP guests. This followed her “Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts” from the Order Sons of Italy in America (previous honoree Luciano Pavarotti). She has appeared with the Palm Beach Opera, the Cairo Opera, Opera of Hong Kong, the NY Grand Opera, NJ State Opera and the Opera of the Hamptons. She appears annually at the world-famous, Feinstein’s at the Regency Hotel, in NYC, and has received rave reviews for her nightclub entertainment abilities, in addition to her classical concert and operatic appearances.
A listing of the popular “giants” she has appeared with include Tony Bennett and Joel Grey. Ms. Fontanelli is a guest artist with many prestigious orchestras including the Boston Pops and the St. Louis Symphony performing in major concert halls throughout the U.S. and the world, including the Lincoln and Kennedy Centers. She has completed three world-tours with the Mantovani Orchestra.
