The downtown Hyatt Regency Dallas hotel welcomes fall with its long-awaited "State Fair of Texas" package for families and couples, valid September 24 - October 17. For the second year, guests of the downtown Dallas Texas luxury hotel can again take advantage of the new DART light rail direct service straight to the fairgrounds from Union Station on the Green line.

The theme of the 2010 State Fair of Texas is "Super Sized Fun," celebrating what the fair has brought to Dallas since 1886. With a super sized selection of rides, exhibits, foods, competitions and entertainment, the State Fair of Texas is know for its oversized icons in the tallest Ferris wheel in North America, the largest new car show in the southwest and of course, the fair's signature icon, 52-foot Big Tex. With larger than life characters straight from the big screen, Shrek the Musical will entertain kids of all ages with performances at the Music Hall. Shrek tickets will include fair admission on the day of the performance. General admission is $15.
The Dallas hotel's atrium-level restaurant, Centennial Café offers a kids menu called Johnny Venture World Discovery. This menu for children 12 and under features Johnny Venture and his little sister Jenny who visit Hyatt hotels around the country discovering a wide variety of things to see and do. The Johnny Venture World Discovery menu offers healthy food options as well as kids' favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Centennial Café. Parrino's Oven features made-to-order pizzas while guests watch.
Hyatt Regency Dallas also offers kid-friendly hotel amenities.
