The first 250 people to complete a three-hour volunteer shift at Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores & Donation Centers™ will get a free general admission pass to visit the Science Museum of Minnesota. For details and to sign up before Friday, October 1, click on the Community tab at http://www.kare11.com. A representative from Arc’s Value Village will then follow up via e-mail to schedule a volunteer shift. Passes are available while supplies last and expire Friday, December 17, 2010.
Volunteers sort, tag and stock items for Arc’s Value Village’s seasonal shops. Children (age 8 and up) are welcome to participate alongside an adult volunteer. Arc’s Value Village has four Twin Cities locations in Brooklyn Center, New Hope, Richfield and Saint Paul. Stores are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., for volunteering, shopping or donating.
