DSCI Corporation, an Internet Telephony Service Provider in New England, and Polycom, a global leader in telepresence, video and voice communications solutions, have teamed up to promote DSCI’s iPBX Hosted Communications Service and Polycom HD Voice™. iPBX is a hosted voice-over-IP (VoIP) service that is deployed with Polycom SoundPoint® IP and SoundStation® IP phones with HD Voice. Polycom’s breakthrough HD Voice technology provides twice the call clarity when compared to ordinary calls.
DSCI selected a corporate underwriting opportunity on WBUR, Boston’s affiliate of National Public Radio, as the vehicle for the promotion. A series of 10-second spots introduce DSCI and Polycom’s HD Voice to listeners.
“DSCI chose the WBUR sponsorship for a couple of reasons. First, their New England coverage matches our service area almost exactly. And secondly, WBUR’s audience includes many business owners and managers, exactly the group of decision makers we want to reach,” explains Jeff Kubick, DSCI’s VP of Marketing.
“We’re very pleased to join DSCI in this campaign to raise awareness of HD Voice. The New England market is an exciting growth area for cloud-based communications, and this is an excellent opportunity to present our technology to a large group of business professionals,” adds Tim Yankey, senior director of product marketing at Polycom.
A special landing page on the DSCI website is referenced where listeners can compare the sound of HD Voice to ordinary call quality. That page can be accessed at http://www.dscicorp.com/hdvoice.
The WBUR sponsorship began Aug. 1, 2010 and will run through October. To listen to the actual WBUR announcements, click the links attached.
