Give the Gift of Organic Health

An Organic Gift Basket Shows You Care

As the giving season approaches, what to get for your favorite Aunt Millie – who already has everything – becomes a quest worthy of a medieval knight. After countless sweaters, books and gift certificates, how about giving the gift of good health?

Good Health Baskets, a Dallas-based, woman-owned business has created a line of gift baskets that exude healthy living. Owner Mrs. Odo Barron conceived the concept for her business when searching for a sugar-free wedding cake to meet the needs of her wedding guests with diabetes. “I wanted to start my own business, and this experience provided the vision for Good Health Baskets,” says Mrs. Barron.

People are increasingly looking for healthy food alternatives, and information from the Organic Trade Association (OTA) confirms this. Despite the economic recession, sales for organic food products were up 5.1% in 2009 (The Organic Trade Association’s 2010 Organic Industry Survey; http://www.ota.com).

Good Health Baskets include healthful goodies that are sugar-free, gluten-free, vegan, organic and kosher. “People with special dietary needs have drawers full of sweaters. Our gift baskets are a unique way to give a gift that shows you care,” says Mrs. Barron.
