Today’s business environments demand more efficiency from WAN networks. By lowering priority after they exceed certain thresholds, a user could potentially continue to use all the available bandwidth if there are no other users to compete with. It's only when their high-volume traffic would interfere with other users that the throttling would activate. Combining these throttling rules with the ability to create specific QoS rules if necessary give network administrators a powerful tool to control their bandwidth while still allowing resources to be utilized when available.
