When utilizing NFp’s Self-Capture Packs (TM), everything is done in-house. The individual who is being printed is asked to make several prints of each finger. In the end, this method produces quicker turnaround times and a decreased rejection rate when compared to ordinary paper fingerprint cards. Another feature of the Self-Capture Packs (TM) is the Trusted Observer (TM) or "T-O" for short. The T-O is essentially in charge of overseeing the fingerprint process, and is normally someone in the organization who currently handles Human Resources tasks like hiring and/or screening potential employees. Before an employee can be considered a T-O, they must be approved by their employer, register online with NFp and take an online demonstration and training course in order to receive their “Trusted Observer Number”. Having a T-O in charge of the process helps ensure compliance, consistency and maintains quality control. It also minimizes the likelihood of fraud since the applicant never leaves the facility to have their fingerprints collected.
