Jostens Recognized for 12 2010 Premier Print Awards

Best of Category, Award of Recognition and 10 Certificates of Merit Received

Jostens was named a recipient of 12 2010 Premier Print Awards from the Printing Industries of America. The prestigious Premier Print Awards is the world’s most prestigious international printing competition and recognizes the greatest print pieces in the world. Jostens was honored with a Best of Category, an Award of Recognition and 10 Certificates of Merit in the School Yearbook Category.

For the second year in a row, the most coveted award, the Best of Category or the Benny, was awarded to Dartmouth College for Aegis 2009. Dartmouth’s Aegis 2009, produced by Jostens, was chosen as the 2010 Benny honoree from over 100 School Yearbook Category submissions. Jostens also received one first place Award of Recognition, an award given out to only 2% of all entries, for Pottsville High School’s HI-S-POTTS 2010 yearbook.

Along with Best of Category and Award of Recognition honors, Jostens received 10 Certificates of Merit, awarded to approximately five percent of all entries. The following Jostens’ projects were also recognized:

  • La Vie 1010 – Penn State University
  • Red Cedar Log 2009 – Michigan State University
  • Michiganensian 2010 – University of Michigan
  • Cornellian 2010 – Cornell University
  • Triton 2009 – Palos Verdes High School
  • Sub Tirri 2010 – Boston College
  • Sound 2009 – Long Island University
  • Howitzer 2009 – The United States Military Academy at West Point
  • Chanticleer 2009 – Duke University
  • Mnemosyne 2009 – Northview High School

The competition receives more than 3,200 entries across all forms of print. The criterion for the competition is based on the overall look of the finished publication. Criteria include quality of photography, design expertise, print quality, and final binding.
