Infinite Campus provides us with the ability to collect student data statewide into a single repository for reporting
Blaine, MN (Vocus) September 24, 2010
Infinite Campus, Inc. today announced that the South Dakota Department of Education (DoE) has renewed its contract through 2014. The renewal extends the subscription of the statewide student information system (SIS), Infinite Campus State Edition (ICSE), and the district-level SIS, Infinite Campus District Edition (ICDE).
The statewide implementation of Infinite Campus® began spring 2002 with district adoption of ICDE being voluntary. Today, 165 districts use ICDE, eliminating the need to submit traditional state reporting as data from ICDE is available to the DoE in real time.
“Infinite Campus provides us with the ability to collect student data statewide into a single repository for reporting,” said Tami Darnall, director, Office of Finance and Management, South Dakota Department of Education. “Our long-term relationship with Infinite Campus provides us with the ability to assign unique student ids, locate students, pinpoint enrollment overlaps, and transfer data district-to-district eliminating data re-entry.”
Covered in the agreement is the ability for South Dakota districts to purchase Infinite Campus premium products including emergency messaging and food service. These products eliminate the need for duplicate data entry, facilitate communications and help districts to realize efficiencies due to the integration of Infinite Campus.
Infinite Campus received the Gartner Group “Strong Positive” rating in the “MarketScope for K-12 SISs 2009,” and a “Positive” rating in the “MarketScope for K-12 SISs,” 2007 and 2008. Gartner interviewed both vendors and customer districts across the United States to determine the appropriate ranking of each vendor studied. This rating attests to the strength of Infinite Campus and the products South Dakota districts and the DoE are using.
“With more than a decade of experience, Infinite Campus delivers comprehensive functionality, professional development opportunities and ongoing support so districts can focus on what really matters – improving education for students,” said Eric Creighton, Infinite Campus Chief Operating Officer. “We are looking forward to our continued relationship with the DoE and the districts of South Dakota.”
The agreement is effective through July 2014.
