Digital communication landscape in Malaysia poised to change with YTL Comms' nationwide 4G Mobile Internet.

Their nationwide 4G mobile internet coverage will accelerate digital penetration and broadband adoption in the country, leading to significant media consumption changes

Carat Malaysia, a subsidiary of Aegis PLC, is engaged by YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (YTL Comms) as Media Agency on Record for the upcoming launch of the world's first nationwide converged 4G voice and broadband network in Malaysia. Carat was one of the five media agencies that pitched for the business in May this year and won the business later in June.

YTL Communications, the Internet and Communications arm of Malaysian infrastructure conglomerate - YTL Corporation Berhad Group, is investing RM 2.5 billion to bring a true 4G Mobile Internet __4G Broadband__ 4G Mobile Internet to Malaysia. YTL is one of Malaysia's largest corporations, ranked as one of three most valuable brands in the country with global investments in utilities, cement manufacturing, construction, property development and investment, hotel management and development, and information technology.

Carat will be tasked with all media planning and buying activities for the launch of the new converged services. It joins other partners including the brand agency BBH, digital agency AGENDA, PR Agency - SWOT Communications and alpha245 who are considered the world's best in their fields, to ensure the success of YTL Comms' eagerly awaited 4G Mobile Internet launch. The launch will take place in November of this year.
