While the care and management of a commercial swimming pool can be intricate, American Pool Enterprises, Inc. is offering free education via webinar to their customers and those interested on how to best manage and maintain their swimming pool facilities.

“We are a business of providing the most comprehensive facility care,” says APEI President and CEO, Mitchell Friedlander.

Understanding the ins and outs of proper swimming pool maintenance and care can be complex. Commercial swimming pool facilities require a lot of work and often times, the owners themselves aren't entirely sure how to best care for one of their biggest property investments. American Pool Enterprises, Inc., (APEI) the leader in commercial swimming pool management, maintenance and construction is launching an online series of webinars to cover many aspects of swimming pool ownership, maintenance and care. These “Knowledge Series” webinars will give swimming pool owners and property managers a better understanding of what is undoubtedly their property’s most popular amenity.

“We are a business of providing the most comprehensive facility care,” says APEI President and CEO, Mitchell Friedlander. “In addition to the many services we provide on-site at the pool, we want to ensure our customers have a complete understanding of their facility, the services we provide them and why proper management, maintenance and care is so important to extend the life and heighten the level of safety of the swimming pool.”

The Knowledge Series kicks off on October 5, 2010 and the first topic covered will be “Why closing your swimming pool facility(s) properly will save you money and the benefits of winter/off-season water care”. Topics scheduled to be included in this first session include the benefits of safety covers, the importance of proper pool algaecide and other steps that can be taken to property “winterize” swimming pools for an easy opening come spring.

Future scheduled webinar topics also include:

  •     Salt chlorine generation and the electric savings inside your filter room: Motors, VFD’s, lights and timers.
  •     Swimming Pool Renovation: Getting the most out of your investment.
  •     The top 10 things you can expect to replace every season and the importance of 1, 3, 5 and 10-year budgeting for your pool.
  •     What are the needed pool chemicals and their value? The dangers of waterborne illness, the dangers of suction entrapment and how to protect against.
  •     Are you really covered? Dispelling some of the myths about swimming pool contract insurance.

By educating commercial pool owners on all aspects of the swimming pool facility, APEI hopes to help their customers make better and more informed decisions regarding their pool, eliminate problems and concerns before they arise and provide an all-around safer environment for both our customers and any patrons that visit their swimming pool.
