Tampa, FL (PRWEB) September 28, 2010
Second Image Thrift Store, a subsidiary of Family Resources Foundation, Inc., is now accepting obsolete computers and electronics equipment for recycling at their retail location at 9103 US Hwy. 19 North, Pinellas Park, FL. Items can be dropped off for free with no charge to businesses or the general public. Their sister organization, Community Aid Collections (the yellow bag people), will also pick up electronics for free throughout the local area. Working electronics will be resold by the thrift store and non-working items will be recycled by Florida E-Waste Recycling of Tampa. A portion of the recycling proceeds will be donated to Community Aid Collections on behalf of Family Resources Foundation. Florida E-Waste Recycling has also agreed to provide refurbished computer systems for resale at both Second Image Thrift Store locations in Tampa and Pinellas Park.
“We feel privileged to work with Family Resources Foundation to help them raise money for the many fine programs offered to the local community by Family Resources. They are also helping the environment by eliminating e-waste from our landfills” stated Mark Sage, Managing Partner of Florida E-Waste Recycling.
