A lost duck attempts to make his way home to Florida from the North Pole in this delightful holiday tale

Santa's Christmas Duck

Santa’s Christmas Duck, a new book by Sarah Carlson-Ditmeyer, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

When a young duck named Woodrow, on his maiden migratory voyage, finds himself at the North Pole, a wild adventure begins back to his intended destination in the juniper swamps of Florida. Woodrow does not like to fly and is so far from home. Two children with a duck on their Christmas list may provide Santa Claus with the perfect solution.

As Woodrow learns from the friendly and not-so-friendly wild bunch he meets along the way, the impact of one person can make all the difference, good or bad. And while Woodrow could soar above the clouds, he prefers to walk! Sarah Carlson-Ditmyer's charming story invites you to follow our walking duck and think about what place we inhabit in the world around us.

Watch for Woodrow’s next adventure, Woodrow’s School Daze.

Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, author Sarah Carlson-Ditmyer currently resides in Port Orange, Florida, with her husband, Frank. Between them they have thirteen grandchildren. She is Assistant Director of Admissions for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and has previously published poetry and short articles.
