The Screen announces latest event in Covent Garden, London on 29th October. Key speakers from Heathrow's media strategy and planning operations will expose what has made this site one of the most valuable digital advertising sites in Europe

Digital out-of-home events group The Screen is to ‘Lift The Lid On Heathrow Airport’ at its next Breakfast Briefing - to be held on 29th October 2010 at The Hospital Club in London’s West End media district.

The Screen’s popular breakfast briefing events attract the cream of the UK’s digital signage and out-of-home media industry to share their knowledge and experience over a cup of fine coffee and some of the best smoked salmon bagels in London.

‘Lifting The Lid On Heathrow’ will get behind the scenes of one of the most innovative and valuable digital advertising locations in Europe. With its highly desirable advertising audience and vast traffic numbers - Heathrow represents a fascinating case study for the digital signage industry. From rail link, to departure hall, to lounge - the morning event will follow the passenger journey from arrival through to departure, examining the media models employed and the operations underpinning it all.

The session will include brief presentations from key figures behind Heathrow’s media strategy and operations; including Juan Perez head of advertising and sponsorship for BAA Heathrow, Yan Huybrechts Commercial Development Manager at Heathrow Express, and Alan Sullivan Sales Director at JCDecaux Airport.

September saw The Screen hold 3 exceptional events. Linking up with creative agency Ogilvy & Mather for a content related breakfast briefing at their New York Headquarters; linking up with retail point of purchase organization POPAI to tour London’s Westfield Shopping Centre; and linking up with pro-A/V specialist Midwich Group to promote the GreenScreen Initiative at the annual Technology Exposed show.

The Screen USA’s ‘Getting Creative With DOOH’ event in New York showcased two of this year’s most innovative and exciting digital out-of-home campaigns were conceived, measured and executed. A sold out event that provided invaluable insight into the workings of a successful digital signage campaign - bringing together the media agency, the creative team and the digital out-of-home network owner. Speakers from Ogilvy, JCDecaux & Grand Visual shared their experiences from working on IBM's interactive campaign in JFK and NIKE's realtime World Cup campaign.
