First Nations and Métis Leadership Support BC Music Artists for Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards

Collectively Inez Jasper, Tewanee Joseph and Colette Trudeau ask their Fans both new and old to vote for them. The goal is As Music is the International Language we want to have direct impact on the Youth of Indigenous Community by demonstrating that with hard work and dedication all dreams can come true.

For the first time since the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, Aboriginal leaders from British Columbia have come together in support of a new cause that will put the First Nations and Métis people back into the media forefront by their collective effort to support BC Music Artists competing in the upcoming Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards http://www.aboriginalpeopleschoice.com

Chief Ian Campbell of the Squamish Nation, Chief Justin George of the Tsleil- Waututh Nation, Chief Otis Jasper of the Soowahlie Indian Band and President Bruce Dumont of the Métis Nation are asking for the support of all Indigenous people, BC residents and music fans alike to discover and vote for Inez Jasper, Tewanee Joseph and Colette Trudeau all hailing from BC.

The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards will take place at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on Friday, November 5, 2010. The APCMA'S will showcase the best in Aboriginal Music from across North America and will be televised live on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) http://www.aptn.ca and Bell Express Vu. Inez Jasper and Colette Trudeau will perform live at the APCMA'S.

Led by Four time APCMA winner and 2009 Juno Award Nominee Inez Jasper leads the way with two nominations; Aboriginal Female Entertainer of the Year and Aboriginal Songwriter of the Year, followed by Tewanee Joseph's group Bitterly Divine for Best New Artist and Colette Trudeau for Best Rock CD.
