An underwater visual experience awaits readers as Xlibris announces the release of Faces in the Blue. All images in this collection were taken by one person, Ori Michaeli, with his ambition and love to the water medium and its magic.
The images in this book are presented in such a way that the viewer will be thrilled and will need to make the relation between natural and directed events. In Faces in the Blue, the fine border between what the eyes see combines reality and imagination.
Some of the images in the book are completely natural occurrence, where others were directed by the photographer in swimming pools using underwater models. The models adapt the wet medium and transform into beautiful aquatic sirens. The unique images of fish portraits in their natural environment and breathtaking underwater landscapes give the viewer the anticipation to see more.
The images in the book take the viewer to another world—more colourful, sometimes darker, but always fascinating. In this collection, Michaeli takes readers into his unique views of the natural and imaginary underwater world.
