50 Back Brewing Company, Inc. (http://www.50back.com) of Pepperell, MA has signed a partnership with Randolph, MA based Burke Distributing Corporation to distribute their new American lager. The distribution agreement ensures that 50 Back Lager, The Brew of the Brave, will be available to consumers in the entire greater Boston area. Every time someone purchases a 50 BackTM, the company donates 50% of the proceeds to charities committed to supporting and enriching the lives of veterans and active service members and their families.
Created by Pepperell, Mass. residents Paige Haley and Kimberly Rogers, 50 Back Beer is an American-style lager. Newcomers to the beer industry, Haley and Rogers came up with the idea of 50 Back after searching for a way to give back to Troops and Veterans in honor of their own fathers, grandfathers and family members. Incorporated on Veterans Day, November 11, 2009, 50 Back Brewing Company started serving thirsty beer lovers the first batch of the great beer on Memorial Day weekend in May, 2010.
“Our mission is to create a great American Lager and by doing so, it is a way for us to raise funds that will make a difference for Troops, Veterans and their families,” said Kimberly Rogers, Co- Founder of 50 Back. “Working with a company like Burke that has such a diverse and well known portfolio of major brands, craft brews and specialty beverages gives us the real opportunity to get introduced throughout the marketplace. With Burke, we are confident that consumers around the city will now have the opportunity to purchase 50 Back Beer and support our troops and veterans.”
Founded 75 years ago, Burke Distributing Corporation is a full service beverage distributor which wholesales beer, liquor, and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the major metropolitan Boston, Massachusetts area. The distribution agreement with Burke will allow 50 Back greater penetration in Burke’s territory which spans from Stoneham, Massachusetts in the north, Scituate, Massachusetts in the south, Waltham, Massachusetts to the west, and includes all towns in between including downtown Boston.
“As a family owned and operated business since 1935, Burke is thrilled to distribute a locally produced beer that not only tastes great but core to their mission, supports Veterans organizations that are making a difference right here in our own backyard,” said William Burke, president of Burke Distributing Company.
50 Back Beer currently supports five charitable organizations, including the USO, Homes for Our Troops, the The Ahern Family Charitable Foundation, the The Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund, and America’s VetDogs.
