David Lloyd Leisure Hosts Fitness Challenge To Raise Money For Charity

Doctors and nurses from two Bristol hospitals will fight it out at David Lloyd Leisure, Bristol this October to help raise a wopping £10,000 for their united hospital trust charity Shine Together.

This will be a fantastic launch for the 10.10.10 appeal. To raise £10,000 in just ten hours is a real challenge and this will really help us hit our target

Teams of nurses, doctors and porters from Southmead and Frenchay hospital will compete against each other in a bid to raise funds for the charity which supports patients and helps buy new specialist equipment for both hospitals.

The swimming, rowing, cycling and running challenge will kick off the fund raising day in David Lloyd Leisure’s Bristol Gym & Health Club on Ashton Road, followed by a 10,000ft sky dive and an abseil down the new learning and research building at Southmead Hospital. The winner of the showdown will be the team that travels furthest on the gym equipment in six hours.
