Alterian (LSE: ALN), the leader in customer engagement technology and solutions, today announced that Don Patrick will serve as senior vice president of the company’s Managed Services division, reporting to CEO, David Eldridge.
The Managed Services division delivers Alterian’s software platform as a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, together with packaged solutions and best practices. The components of Alterian's offerings include social media monitoring, email marketing, web content management, campaign management and web behavior analytics, as well as the company’s recent acquisition of market research and social media analytics consultancy, Intrepid.

Over the past 13 years, Patrick has been a leader in aggressively building marketing technology service businesses that simultaneously drive marketing ROI and lower cost of ownership. Before joining Alterian, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Merkle, a leading customer relationship marketing (CRM) agency, building their technology and infrastructure businesses, as well as their finance and human resource operations. Prior to his tenure at Merkle, Patrick was Vice President at JP Morgan Capital Corporation, the private equity business of JP Morgan, investing and building companies in the America’s and Asia.
With the combination of Alterian’s social media engagement tools and the recent acquisition of Intrepid, a core element of Managed Services’ role is to deliver packaged solutions in the social media channel.
“Organizations must quickly adopt social media and more one-to-one marketing strategies into their current customer engagement initiatives,” adds Patrick. “This can often prove difficult for some companies, or their partners, who lack the resources and knowledge to effectively manage and report on social media marketing and other forms of engagement.
