The Greeley Company Announces a New Full-time Senior Consultant in their Credentialing and Privileging Division

The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., has named Mary Baker, DHA, CPMSM, CPCS, a new, full-time senior consultant in their Credentialing and Privileging division. Baker brings more than 24 years of experience in the medical staff services field. Her areas of expertise include regulatory compliance, credentialing and privileging, medical staff services department effectiveness, credentialing verification organization implementation and assessment, and medical staff services professional leadership and development training.

We are excited to have someone of Mary’s depth and insight in the medical staff professional field. Her particular interest in teaching and developing future medical staff professionals will be a tremendous asset to the industry.

Baker brings more than 24 years of experience in the medical staff services field. Her areas of expertise include regulatory compliance, credentialing and privileging, medical staff services department effectiveness, credentialing verification organization implementation and assessment, and medical staff services professional leadership and development training.

In addition to healthcare administrative positions within a wide spectrum of hospitals and healthcare systems, Baker’s experience also spans international credentialing and privileging. Most recently, she created the practitioner recruitment and credentialing mechanisms for Sidra Medical and Research Center, a new facility in Doha, Qatar. As part of her duties as a credentialing consultant for Sidra, she created credentialing and privileging policies and procedures and established a system to promote effective communication and exchange of ideas between Sidra and Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York.

Baker’s additional areas of expertise include criteria-based core privileging, licensing of physicians and advanced practice professionals, interpretation and compliance with regulatory standards both domestic (Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and American Osteopathic Association) and international (Joint Commission International), performance improvement/quality, and risk management.

“I am honored to have been offered this opportunity,” said Baker, a resident of Columbus, OH. “I look forward to sharing my experience and education in medical staff services, as well as sharing my professional growth expertise in order to benefit and support current and new medical staff professionals."

Baker maintains certifications as a Certified Professional Medical Services Manager (CPMSM) and a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). She has been a member with the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) since 1990, has served as President Elect of the Ohio Association Medical Staff Services (OAMSS), and as a Board Member of Texas Society Medical Staff Management (TSMSS). She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). She received her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University in 2000 and her Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from University of Phoenix in 2008.
