Beacon’s core strength has always been in investment operations, and we are confident that this service will be valuable to managers who want the extra assurance that their current environment will withstand the extra scrutiny.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 1, 2010
Today, Beacon Consulting Group, a strategic and operational consulting firm to the investment management industry, launched its Operational Assessment and Review Service (OARS), a service that will enhance a hedge fund manager’s responsiveness and transparency during the due diligence process utilized by hedge fund investors.
"Investors are insisting on greater transparency into the operations of hedge funds before they commit new investments. Beacon’s core strength has always been in investment operations, and we are confident that this service will be valuable to managers who want the extra assurance that their current environment will withstand extra scrutiny and assure investors that their investments are in the care of an operationally sound investment manager who makes extensive use of industry best practices,” said Girard Healy, Managing Director of Beacon Consulting Group.
Beacon will review the current state of operations with a particular focus in areas such as trade processing, investor transaction processing, fund accounting and valuation. Related policies and procedures will be reviewed to ensure completeness. Beacon will issue a confidential report to the fund manager who will utilize the OARS assessment to improve responsiveness to investor inquiries. Beacon will review these functions using components of its proprietary toolkit.
