"The complexity of drawing and painting the Players and multi-dimensional, moving scenes, performatively and transparently, continuously presents new moments of interest."

Stuff™ – New York Yankees and Male Basketball Players: Open Studio Exhibition of Live-Action and Portrait Paintings by Jane Rubin
More information about this exhibit will be coming soon.
Since 1998 Jane has been fortunate to be courtside at many great basketball games and practices, including pro, semi-pro, college and pick-up game scenes, where she has drawn and painted the players and action without the use of photographic mediation. During recent years Jane's work has expanded to include other sports venues. In the mid-90's she became interested in baseball. Since 2006 Jane has been painting and drawing live at Yankee Stadium, representing the great team, New York City, and the scene, as each moment occurs.
Basketball became a theme in Jane's work in 1992 when she first saw the Bulls play on TV.
