Can Zenyatta improve her perfect career record to 19 wins in 19 starts? The world will find out Saturday when the magnificent mare takes on a field of fillies and mares in the Grade I, $250,000 Lady’s Secret Stakes presented by TVG at Oak Tree at Hollywood Park. The 1 1/16-miles event will be Zenyatta’s final horse race prior to her title defense in the November 6 Breeders’ Cup Classic.
TVG is the exclusive TV partner of the 2010 Oak Tree at Hollywood Park meet.
“The legend of Zenyatta grows every time she steps out on the racetrack,” said TVG CEO Stephen Burn. “To sponsor her final horse race before she goes on to defend her Breeders’ Cup Classic championship is a privilege for TVG. Like all horseracing fans I look forward to watching her continued pursuit of history.”
The six-year-old Zenyatta, who is 4 for 4 this year, has won the last two Lady’s Secret Stakes, and will be the heavy favorite to make it three-in-a-row.
Post time for the Lady’s Secret presented by TVG, which will be televised live by TVG, is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. PT. Hosting Saturday’s telecast will be Todd Schrupp, joined by analysts Simon Bray and Ron Ellis and reporter Christina Olivares.
