Merrimack, NH (PRWEB) October 4, 2010

More gifts. More stores. More jobs. That’s the bullish position Brookstone is taking for its 2010 holiday store season. Fueled in part by strong demand for the Parrot AR.Drone flying video game, CandyMan motion-activated candy dispenser, and a strong line-up of unique gifts and electronics, Brookstone announced it is increasing its seasonal store count and sales positions by 36% over last year.

“Obviously, this is a win-win for everyone,” said Brookstone CEO Ron Boire. “By adding these additional seasonal stores and kiosks, customers will enjoy faster, easier access to Brookstone holiday gifts, and Brookstone gets to add jobs in cities all across the U.S. Yes, we’re bullish on the Holiday this year, and yes we’ve expanded our hiring.”

Boire also said that, in addition to the Parrot AR.Drone and CandyMan, customers this year are enthusiastically purchasing Dr. Dre Headphones and an expanded line-up of Brookstone® music systems for iPad, iPod and iPhone.

“Many people are going to be giving and getting an iPad this year,” said Boire. “Brookstone is going to be the go-to place for stereos, stands, cases and all sorts of great accessories for iPad.”

In addition to its 310 year-round retail stores, over 150 Brookstone seasonal stores and kiosks will be opening throughout the U.S. during October and November of this year. Key expansion areas include California, New Jersey, and Texas. All store locations and directions are available via the Brookstone Store Locator at Brookstone.com.
