Jenny Masters suddenly has to dredge up horribly, painful childhood memories when she must finally return to her very small childhood hometown, where she hasn’t expected to find that she would not only totally enjoy her stay but also be threatened and accused of blackmail and murder. In author L.A. Noble’s newly published book, About Time Already, readers will find themselves immersed in a small town, where deeply buried secrets and past hurts will soon be unleashed.
About Time Already features Max and Michelle, two old friends with a lot of history and plenty of chemistry. Michelle is good with people, and Max analyzes facts. Together Max and Michelle are shameless flirts and also sometimes help solve murders. They volunteer to help their friend Jenny Masters, a lonely but successful young woman, when she learns that she must return to her very small hometown of New Attica, Illinois.
Twenty-six-year-old Jenny has intentionally stayed away from New Attica for nine years and hopes she would never have to return. She blames the prominent Roberts family for ruining her life. Jenny, however, has not been aware that the Roberts have believed she is blackmailing them. She also does not know that the whole town has associated her with Elizabeth Warner’s disappearance. Jenny returns to help her mother who has been injured in a car accident. She hopes she could quietly spend a few days with her mother without being noticed. The usually sleepy town of New Attica wakes up and all hell breaks loose after Jenny returns.
Initially, Doc and Sarah Roberts tells her she needs to leave town; Dr. Samuel, Michael Roberts, and Steven Roberts are all vying for her attention; and the very friendly local gossips Ashley and Heather are curiously watching and discussing her every move. Jenny is being threatened. Someone desperately wants her to leave town. On her second day back in New Attica, there is a murder and a disappearance and blackmail. Jenny is blamed. Before Max and Michelle are able to help track down the guilty parties, Jenny is abducted and the chase begins. Things in small-town New Attica are forever changed that day, and the truth is finally told.
