A story of honesty, friendship, acceptance, belief in oneself, and more awaits readers in Caneville Summer. Authored by Andrew Phillip Decker, this book tells a story of a group of friends struggling with personal issues—issues that when confronted, might change their lives forever.
Caneville may be a small town in Louisiana, but life here is not as different as the other cities’. Personal and social issues also arise even in the simple lives of a group of high school friends. And this particular summer, surprises and secrets will be revealed. Sam is dealing with him being gay and his romantic interest in Evan; Mikey, who is also gay, is the one interested in Sam; El, short for Eleanor, is Sam’s best friend who becomes involved with Evan. Will this summer be what these youngsters hope it to be?
Decker invites readers to follow Sam and his friends as they come to terms with their secrets in one memorable Caneville Summer. This book will be featured at this year’s New York Library Association Book Exhibit in Saratoga Springs, NY on November 2-5, 2010. For more information, interested parties may log on to Xlibris.com.
